At Lansweeper, we regularly review and update our legal documentation to make sure it reflects how our product works, keeps pace with evolving regulations, and remains fair and clear for our Customers. Today, we are publishing a new version of our Terms of Use and Data Processing Addendum (DPA), introducing a dedicated set of AI Features Terms, and publishing our new Code of Conduct. This post walks you through the most important changes and what they mean for you.
We are proud to share that our updated Terms of Use have earned the TermScout TrustMark™ Balanced certification. TermScout is an independent contract intelligence company that benchmarks vendor agreements against thousands of real-world contracts. Earning the Balanced badge is an independent signal that our Terms allocate rights and risks fairly between Lansweeper and our Customers, and that you can review and sign with confidence.

We made several updates to ensure the Agreement is more balanced and gives our customers stronger, clearer protections:
We updated and consolidated the clauses relating to how Lansweeper collects and uses data, to clarify our data practices.
With the launch of our new Self-Service Portal, eligible Customers can now use this portal to manage their subscription, make plan changes, adjust asset coverage, and handle billing, without needing to contact a sales representative.
The process of deactivating auto-renewal of your subscription is now handled directly through the Self-Service Portal instead of email. Customers who are on a fully on-premises deployment that is not connected to the Cloud Platform can continue to cancel by sending us an email.
We have clarified the process for raising billing disputes to ensure that any concerns are addressed correctly and efficiently.
The prohibited use clause has been updated to address risks relating to AI usage and unlawful or unauthorized use in light of new Product capabilities. Added a specific provision related to the use of the MCP server.
Lansweeper warrants that it will perform its obligations with reasonable skill, care and diligence in accordance with generally accepted industry standards.
Where Customers decide to use certain AI Features of the Product, their use is subject to our dedicated AI Features Terms (see below), which are incorporated into the Terms of Use by reference.
We adjusted and simplified a number of terms and clauses to address product developments and evolutions.
Beyond the changes highlighted above, we have also made a number of further updates across the Terms of Use. Several definitions have been added, updated, or removed to better reflect how the Product works today and to ensure consistency throughout the document. We have also made various miscellaneous improvements to language, structure, and cross-references to make the Terms clearer and easier to navigate.

The DPA has been updated to align with the revised Terms of Use and to reflect how Lansweeper processes personal data in connection with the developments and evolutions of the Product, including in the context of AI Features.
In the context of the AI Features, Lansweeper makes use of additional sub-processors to enable these AI Features, each selected and contracted in accordance with Lansweeper’s standard sub-processor due diligence and data protection requirements.

We are introducing a dedicated set of AI Features Terms. These terms govern the use of any (generative) artificial intelligence features made available by Lansweeper as part of the product, such as LS Lens, a conversational assistant built directly into the Lansweeper Cloud Platform.
Use of AI Features is optional. If you do not wish to use the AI Features, you can simply refrain from using them, or, where applicable, configure the Product to disable access to them.
No AI model training. Lansweeper uses AI models provided by third-party subcontractors. These providers process input data to generate outputs on Lansweeper’s behalf and are not permitted to use your data to train or improve their own AI models.

We have also recently published our Code of Conduct, which sets out the standards of behaviour and ethical principles that guide how Lansweeper operates in relation to our Customers, our partners, our employees and the communities in which we work.

When do these changes take effect?
These updates will take effect on 25 September 2026. Continued use of the Lansweeper Product after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Use, DPA and AI Features Terms. If you have questions about any of these changes, please reach out to us at [email protected]. If you believe that a revision meaningfully reduces your rights, you may notify us within fifteen (15) calendar days following our email notification of the modifications that you do not agree with. In this case, we may allow you to continue using our product and services under the previous Terms of Use until your next subscription renewal date. After that, continuing to use Lansweeper will require agreeing to the latest Terms of Use.
Thank you for being a Lansweeper Customer. Our goal is always to make our legal framework as clear, fair and transparent as possible and to make sure it reflects the product you use.
