How We Do Business
Trust is at the foundation of everything we do at Lansweeper. This Code of Conduct reflects the standards and values we hold ourselves to, every day, across every market we operate in.
1.1. Why this Code Matters
This Code of Conduct sets out the ethical principles that guide how we work. Following the Code ensures that our decisions are not only legally compliant, but also ethically sound and aligned with our culture.
Acting responsibly includes how we contribute to society and the environment and how we govern ourselves as a company. Our dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles means we strive to operate sustainably and reduce our footprint as a software provider, uphold human rights and fair labor standards, and maintain strong governance practices that ensure accountability and transparency. By embedding ESG principles into this Code, we reinforce that long-term business success depends not only on technology innovation, but also on building a company that customers, employees, partners, and communities can trust.
We expect everyone representing Lansweeper and its affiliates, regardless of their role, location, or relationship to Lansweeper, to uphold the standards described in this Code. External stakeholders, including customers and prospective partners, should see the Code as a transparent commitment to how Lansweeper does business.
1.2. Guided by Our Core Values
This Code is rooted in Lansweeper’s core values, which act as a compass for our behavior. Values are the cornerstone of our culture. It is how we do things and what defines the character and personality of our organization, what makes us unique.
They guide the decisions we make, they are the glue that holds us together, and they ensure everyone is pulling in the same direction.
We believe that how we achieve results is just as important as what results we achieve. We follow all applicable laws, act with fairness in our dealings, and hold ourselves and our partners to ethical standards across every market we operate in.
2.1. Complying with Laws and Regulations
Operating globally means navigating a complex set of laws and regulations: data protection, labor standards, intellectual property, competition rules, trade sanctions, and more.
2.2. Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery
Lansweeper is dedicated to conducting business with the highest standards of ethics and honesty and will constantly uphold all laws relating to anti-corruption and anti-bribery. We are committed to implementing and enforcing systems that ensure corruption and bribery are prevented. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance stance toward any corrupt activities, ensuring that all our business interactions are conducted professionally, fairly, and with integrity, no matter where we operate.
2.3. Avoiding Conflicts of Interest
A conflict of interest arises when personal, financial, or external considerations interfere or appear to interfere with an individual’s ability to make impartial decisions on behalf of Lansweeper. Lansweeper is committed to making business decisions that are objective, fair, and in the best interests of our company, our customers, and our partners. To protect this integrity, we actively avoid and address conflicts of interest.
2.4. Fair and Ethical Partner Engagement
We choose commercial partners based on quality, performance, and ethical alignment, not on personal relationships or undue advantages. We expect our partners to operate with the same integrity we demand internally.
This means, among other things:
Lansweeper’s greatest strength is our people: a diverse team working across countries, cultures, and time zones.
Respect at Lansweeper is not optional. It is the standard for how we treat one another, how we interact with our customers and partners, and how we represent the company externally.
3.1. Respect for Human Rights & Fair Labor
Lansweeper is committed to upholding internationally recognized human rights. That means Lansweeper is committed to the following principles:
3.2. Harassment and Discrimination-Free Environment
We actively pursue a workplace that is free from harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and bullying. We prohibit all forms of harassment or exclusionary behavior based on race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, neurodiversity, age, religion, nationality, political beliefs, or any other legally protected characteristic.
Any allegation of harassment or discrimination will be taken seriously, investigated thoroughly, and addressed through fair and proportionate action. Retaliation against employees who raise concerns in good faith is not tolerated.
By fostering a culture of dignity, fairness, and accountability, we ensure that Lansweeper remains a place where all individuals feel they belong and can contribute their best.
3.3. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
We believe that diverse teams, equitable opportunities, and inclusive cultures are essential to building an innovative and resilient business.
That’s why we created the Lansweeper Included charter, a code of conduct promoting respect in the workplace and contributing to a caring and inclusive work environment, free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. This charter applies to all colleagues, contractors, vendors, and visitors at Lansweeper worldwide.
Through Lansweeper Included, we affirm our commitment to:
3.4. Health, Safety & Wellbeing
We believe that a safe, healthy, and supportive environment is the foundation for people to do their best work. We are committed to preventing accidents and protecting the physical wellbeing of our employees by maintaining safe facilities, clear safety protocols, and compliance with applicable workplace laws. This includes ensuring that our offices are clean, well-ventilated, and ergonomically equipped, and that remote workspaces are supported with the right tools and guidance to protect long-term health. We also expect employees to look out for each other by reporting unsafe conditions, raising concerns about hazards, and refraining from working under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Wellbeing goes beyond physical safety. We recognize that mental health, work-life balance, and psychological safety are equally important. That means supporting flexible ways of working, encouraging open conversations about stress or burnout, and ensuring that workloads are manageable and fairly assigned.
4.1. Confidential Information
We recognize that our customers, partners, and other stakeholders trust us with sensitive and valuable information. We take that trust seriously. All non-public information shared with us, whether business, technical, financial, or personal, is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
We handle confidential information with the same care as we protect our own, safeguarding it against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Confidential information will only be used for its intended and agreed purpose, and only shared internally with personnel who have a legitimate business need to know.
Lansweeper complies with applicable data protection and confidentiality laws, and maintains governance and security processes to ensure that confidential data entrusted to us is managed responsibly. We do not disclose external parties’ information to third parties without prior consent or a clear legal basis.
4.2. Safeguarding Personal Data
We are committed to handling all personal information lawfully, fairly, and transparently, and to protecting it against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
We adhere to applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and apply robust technical and organizational security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data. This includes strict access controls, encryption, secure hosting environments, and ongoing monitoring of our systems.
Personal data entrusted to us is only used for clearly defined, legitimate purposes and is accessible solely on a need-to-know basis. We apply safeguards to international data transfers, honor data subject rights promptly and transparently, and follow clear procedures for detecting, reporting, and remediating any data breaches.
4.3. Cybersecurity Awareness
Cybersecurity is one of the most important responsibilities we all share. Threats such as phishing, password theft, or malware don’t just jeopardize individual devices; they can expose our entire platform and customer base.
We strengthen our collective defenses by:
4.4. Responsible Technology & AI Use
Artificial intelligence (AI) tools have enormous potential, but they also carry risks if not used responsibly. Lansweeper embraces responsible AI use, always prioritizing security, transparency, and compliance with the relevant policies.
5.1. Environmental & Social Responsibility
We recognize that technology has an environmental footprint. Data centers, commuting, and business travel all contribute to resource usage and carbon emissions.
At Lansweeper, we aim to operate efficiently by using infrastructure in ways that minimize wasted energy, prioritizing green hosting arrangements where possible, reducing emissions and waste by opting for digital-first, low-waste methods of collaboration, and reducing travel when virtual alternatives are effective.
Acting sustainably is not only the right thing to do for society and future generations; it also supports customer trust, as many organizations now directly assess environmental practices as part of their due diligence on software providers.
5.2. Community Engagement & Charitable Impact
Our responsibility extends beyond our products and services. We are engaged with the communities where we live and work, and we actively support initiatives that create positive social impact.
We do this by encouraging our teams to participate in community projects, volunteering efforts, and partnerships that contribute to education, digital literacy, and broader societal wellbeing. Lansweeper also supports charitable initiatives, including donations and collaborations, aimed at addressing challenges that matter to our people and our stakeholders.
6.1. When to Speak Up
At Lansweeper, we encourage everyone, employees, contractors, partners, and suppliers, to raise concerns whenever they see behavior that feels unsafe, unethical, or unlawful. Speaking up helps us correct issues quickly and strengthens the trust our customers and colleagues place in us.
6.2. How to Report
Learn more about our approach to whistleblowing and consult our Whistleblowing Policy on our dedicated Whistleblowing page or submit a concern via our secure Whistleb platform.
In short, the policy:
