Arista Networks

Arista Networks, previously known as Arastra is a networking company founded by Andy Bechtolsheim, David Cheriton and Kenneth Duda in 2004. Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Arista Networks designs and manufactures multilayer network switches that are able to deliver software-defined networking (SDN). The majority of Arista’s clients included high-frequency trading environments that require cloud computing, large data centers, and high-performing computing solutions.

Some of Arista’s key products include their Ethernet switches and networking operating system called Extensible Operating System (EOS) that can be programmed using different mechanisms. Out of various models of their switches, the 7124SX remains the fastest one with others gaining recognition as well.
