ASSET HARDWARE ROUTER

Router

Routers are network devices that connect your network to the internet. When a router receives packets, it reads the network address and decides where to send them. Most people are familiar with home and small office routers, but larger companies might also have enterprise routers which have ports and connect directly to the backbone of the internet.

Scanned Router Information

Lansweeper will retrieve all information it can find from your router, including:
  • Manufacturer and Model
  • Serial number
  • Device description if available
  • Uptime
  • Network interfaces

Network interfaces

When looking for router information, you are usually looking for the network interfaces. Here, Lansweeper shows the different ports and whether they are in use. For each port, Lansweeper will show the description, type, bandwidth, maximum transmission unit (MTU) and of course the IP address.
