Microsoft released the October 2018 monthly patch, which means a boatload of security updates are out for Microsoft products including Windows, Office, and Exchange Server. These updates fix known bugs and security vulnerabilities found within Microsoft’s products. October has been quite the busy month for Microsoft so far. The company released the October 2018 Update for Windows 10 on October 2nd but had to pause the distribution after user reports emerged that user files could be deleted during the upgrade to the new version. It seems that Microsoft addressed the issue in KB4464330 for Windows 10 version 1809. The company has not updated the KB article for Windows 10 version 1809 so it is possible that the issue is not fixed fully. We’ve created a report which checks if the assets in your network are on the latest Microsoft rollup update. It’s color-coded to give you an easy and quick overview which assets are already on the latest Windows update, and which need to be patched. You can find the Microsoft October 2018 report on our forum. Starting from this month, We’ll be publishing a new Microsoft Patch report every month.
