Currently headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, Kyocera is a ceramics and electronics manufacturer that also specializes in designing and manufacturing computer hardware products. The company was originally founded in 1959 by Kazuo Inamori to make and sell ceramic insulators called Kelcima for application in TV picture tubes.

The company has since widened its horizons and expanded their portfolio to include a diverse range of electronic and computer products.
