Zeroshell

Developed by Fulvio Ricciardi, Zeroshell is a Unix-like open source Linux distribution based on a monolithic kernel. The Zeroshell Linux distribution is designed mainly for servers and embedded systems to provide various network services. The operating system relies on a web-based graphical interface that requires no shell for configuration and administration.

The company is sold in the form of Live CDs and CompactFlash images and can be installed on IA-32 computers with any Ethernet interface along with many embedded devices. Some of Zeroshell’s main features include RADIUS servers, captive portals, firewall, packet filters, Linux network scheduler, VPN hosts, LDAP servers, PPPoE clients, and others.
