Redback Networks was an American technology company that specialized in the development of telecommunications equipment and software. The company was founded by Gaurav Garg and Asher Waldfogel in the August of 1996 to provide networking solutions used by ISPs to manage broadband services.

The company had a strong presence in the multi-service edge routing technology industry and had 700 carrier customers in more than 80 countries around the world. The company was headquartered in San Jose, California, USA and manufactures devices like routers that deliver broadband, telephone, and other services over Internet-based infrastructures. In 2007, Redback was acquired by Ericsson and was fully integrated into the company in 2010.
