Introducing their first computer security product Anti-Virus Kit for Atari ST in 1988, G Data Software AG began operations in 1985. This earned G Data the credit of creating the world’s first antivirus software. The company was founded in Bochum, Germany to provide computer security solutions for a home and business users across the world.
Currently, the company uses multiple scanning engines including their in-home version and BitDefender to design, develop and sell antivirus software that has embedded features that protects systems against spyware, hacking, blocks spam, enables safe surfing and shopping, and allows users to recover data and set up parental controls.
