Fedora Core

Fedora Core is a version of the Linux distribution Fedora, which is an Operating System that was designed by the Fedora Project and a sponsorship by Red Hat. Before the 7th version of the Fedora operating system was released, it was called Fedora Core. This name was composite of two of the main software repositories – Core and Extras.

Fedora Core was also a Linux kernel-based, open-source software that was available for installation in CDs and DVDs. It was maintained only by the developers at Red Hat and included packages and features that were required in an OS along with some extras.
