This page explains the various Lansweeper OT installation requirements.
This knowledge base article lists the requirements for installing Lansweeper OT. Make sure the machine you select for your OT installation meets the below prerequisites.
Architecture
64-bit, x64 architecture.
Virtual or physical
You can install the Lansweeper OT software on a virtual or physical computer.
Operating system
Lansweeper OT uses the underlying technology .NET 6 or higher, which is packaged into the OT installer. You can install Lansweeper OT on any Windows operating system listed below, which supports .NET 6 or higher.
- Windows Server 2012 (Sensor only)
- Windows 8.1 (Sensor only)
- Windows 10 or higher
- Windows Server 2016 or higher
PowerShell scripting
During the OT installation process, a certificate is generated to secure communication between OT components. This certificate is generated using a PowerShell script. To ensure the successful execution of the script and a successful OT installation overall, ensure your machine is configured to allow for PS script execution. You can run the command below as an admin in PowerShell to ensure a correct script execution policy.
Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
Web browser
You can view the Lansweeper Network Discovery Hub using any web browsers listed below.
- Google Chrome, updated to the latest version
- Mozilla Firefox, updated to the latest version
- Opera, updated to the latest version
- Microsoft Edge, updated to the latest (Chromium-based) version
