Does Lansweeper's email support modern authentication when using the Exchange EWS method with O365? We had this working previously, but recently disabled basic authentication and Lansweeper doesn't seem to be able to authenticate anymore. Is there a way to have it use modern authentication or is only basic authentication supported requiring us to keep it enabled for the specific mail account that Lansweeper is using for the helpdesk?

Good to know, but it's not the most convenient solution.

Since Microsoft is going to permanently disable basic auth for EWS in less than a year, this should probably be bumped up in priority.

I had this same issue, but resolved it by adding an exception to the conditional access policy that blocks legacy authentication. Simply add the email address you use for Lansweeper as an exception and your email connection will be restored within minutes.

I emailed them in August with the same request and received the following reply:

"It is correct that OAuth2 is currently not yet supported in Lansweeper. We've already received similar requests from our user base to add support for OAuth2, and as such, it was added to our customer wish list. We have tagged your ticket as a feature request to add weight to this. Features on our customer wish list get development priority based on a combination of customer demand and difficulty to implement. As such we aren't able to guarantee that this feature will be implemented or provide you with an estimated release date at this time."

I have no idea if the feature request list is public as it doesn't tally up with the LANSweeper wishlist forum?
