With data loss and breaches at the forefront of every IT department (or at least is should be) it would be nice if LANSweeper had the ability to track a hard drives life from start to finish. First, with every computer scanned, LANSweeper should create a separate asset for the hard drive and create an active relation between the hard drive and the computer. If the hard drive is removed because if its death or the retirement of the computer, it can be tracked up to it's disposal. If a new hard drive is installed in a computer, it too would create a new asset for the hard and the active relation created.

I agree this would be great to see. Plus making sure that it is tracked if you move the drive from one computer to another.

Another awesome feature would be to trigger a drive wipe from within LS and have the history of the drive be changed to reflect that the drive has been wiped.
