Deployment worked yesterday, incorrect function today

I was doing a deployment (it was actually the Intel SA-00086 vulnerability detection deployment) yesterday and had it working well. I ran it against several hundred machines successfully, but did not complete everything.

This morning I came in to finish the task and get the deployment ended: incorrect function,Command: c:\temp\discoverytool\run.vbs - what in the world could be going on?

Nevermind - so the deployment for the vulnerability used xcopy and the /a option. My deployment share gets backed up, so overnight, the archive attribute reset and the xcopy command didn't work any longer.
