Hi folks,

I have a requirement for a group of people to administrate specific asset types. In this case it is mobile phones / tablets etc.

Is there a way to give people full admin on a specific asset type while restricting admin on all other assets?

Thanks!
Ian

Thanks Charles,

Buying additional subscriptions isn't something we would do I'm afraid, the cost to benefit wouldn't be favourable to us.

I will need to consider how best to manage these separately.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Ian,

Unfortunately, access to assets is all or nothing. More granular permissions is something which is being looked at but it's also something complex. You can find more information about the permissions within Lansweeper here: https://www.lansweeper.com/knowledgebase/web-console-user-roles/

One option which larger companies sometimes use is to purchase multiple subscriptions, allowing them to have multiple databases to split permissions that way. Obviously, this is not an optimal solution.
