Engaged Sweeper III
Hello,

I would like te manualy add AD users through "User Access & Roles" but there is no domain listed in the "User Domain" dropbox.

Do i have to enable something to get this?

FYI: If a non existing user logged in through web site is will create the AD user. (but this will be impossible to do whit 2k users)

Thanks

Robin

You can actually scan your Active Directory users in your network with Lansweeper, instead of having to import them into the database. More information on how to scan users can be found in this knowledge base article (https://www.lansweeper.com/kb/172/how-to-scan-users.html).

If your Lansweeper is in a domain, there will be an Add AD User button to add domain users under Configuration\User Access & Roles. Keep in mind that the resulting popup will only list domain users that have already been scanned.

If there are currently already some tickets made by a user, you will be able to transfer the tickets of the old user to the AD user. If the user has the same email address, we recommend doing the following:
• Edit the old user by hitting the pencil shaped button at the end of the line and change the email address by adding ".invalid" at the end of the email address.
• Add the AD User by hitting the Add AD User button.
• Hit the "transfer to this user" button at the end of the line of the AD User and select the old user whose tickets you wish to transfer to the AD User.
• You can then delete the old User, as you don't need it anymore.
