TCL Corporation, which originally was an abbreviation for Telephone Communications Limited, is a Chinese multinational electronics and home appliances company. Currently headquartered in Guangdong, China, the company has worldwide operations and distributes its products through a network of partners and resellers. The company was founded in 1981 as TTK and manufactured knock-off TDK cassettes.

Finally changing its name to TCL in 1985, the company began manufacturing consumer electronics. Currently, the company’s portfolio consists of products such as television sets, smartphones, air conditioning, refrigerators, washing machines, mobile phones, LED and LCD TVs, and other electronic products. TCL also produces BlackBerry phones under the brand name, BlackBerry Mobile.
