Sagem

SAGEM was one of the major French telecommunications companies that developed and manufactured a wide range of communications systems and defense and consumer electronics. The company was founded by Marcel Mome in 1924 in Paris, France, specializing in mechanics. At the request of the French Ministry of Telecommunications, the company developed new communication systems and moved into the telecommunications market from there.

In 2005, Sagem merged with SNECMA to for Safran, focusing on defense systems and aeronautics. The telecommunications and telephony divisions of the company were spun-off as SAGEMCOM and MObiWire, providing routers, switches, IoT solutions, set-top boxes, mobile and connected terminals, and other solutions.
