Motorola Inc. is an American telecommunication multinational company that was divided into two main divisions, namely Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions in 2011. The company was founded initially in 1928 as the Galvin Manufacturing Corporation by Paul and Joseph Galvin.
The company’s headquarters were located in Schaumburg, Illinois in the United States of America and had operations around the world. The company developed and manufactured wireless network equipment, RFID systems, mobile telephone infrastructure, smartphones, digital recorders, set-top boxes, TVs, and many others. In 2014, the Chinese technology company Lenovo acquired the Mobility division of Motorola Inc., which was then in Google’s acquisition.
