Founded in 1988, Linksys is an American network equipment manufacturer that was founded by Janie and Victor Tsao in their Irvine, California home as DEW International. The company designs, manufactures, and sells wired and wireless networking hardware and other devices to small businesses and consumers as off-the-shelf products available at electronics stores.

Their portfolio includes products such as routers, switches, Ethernet switches, DSL gateways, wireless access points, security IP cameras, internet video cameras, VoIP equipment, network storage systems like NAS, and audio/visual solutions. In 2013, the company was purchased by Belkin, keeping the original Linksys brand and releasing new products under its name.
