The company’s origins began as two companies, électronique d2 in Paris and LaCie in Oregon, USA. électronique d2 acquired them in 1995, adopted the latter’s name, and began providing various IT and computer storage solutions.
The company mainly focuses on developing several lines of hard disk drives among other products including RAID arrays, optical drives, flash drives, external hard drives, and NAS. Along with these products, the company also manufactures a series of mobile bus-powered hard drives. They also have a computer display line with monitors made specifically for graphics professionals.
