Founded in 2005, Gluster was a software and computer storage company that based its core products on an open-source network attached file system software. The company was founded and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, USA with an engineering development center in Bangalore, India.
The first ever products created by Gklusdter was a NAS system called GlusterFS, which was developed by the company’s founder – Anand Babu Periasamy. Until 2011, the company provided private and open source public cloud storage solutions. Currently, the company is a part of Red Hat, Inc. and still provides GlusterFS, which is a scalable NAS file system that includes applications including cloud computing, content delivery, and streaming media services.
