Founded in 2005 by Geoff Barrall, Julian Terry, and Ken Rosen, Data Robotics is a computer hardware and external data storage manufacturer. Since then, the company has acquired several companies and changed its name to Drobo Inc. with headquarters based in San Jose, California, USA.
Data Robotic’s portfolio includes different types of storage devices including network attached storage (NAS), direct attached storage (DAS), and storage area network (SAN) appliances. Drobo’s products are designed to allow hard disk devices to install or uninstall without manual data migration. Also, their software products are designed to increase the storage capacity of the unit without any downtime.
