The company is a technology-based producer specializing in data storage and storage networking devices. Brocade got its glory from its high-performance fiber channel storage networks but moved on to develop a new range of products labeled as third-platform technologies.
These technologies include products like routers and network switches for data centers, IP and fiber channel storage network fabrics, and campus and carrier environments. Brocade also offers technology for virtual firewalls, network security applications, VPNs, and others.
