BlueArc

BlueArc was an independent company that designed and manufactured a variety of clustered network attached storage or NAS products. But in 2011 Hitachi Data Systems, which is a part of the multinational electronics manufacturer Hitachi Ltd., acquired BlueArc and are since been responsible for about half of their sales. Currently, BlueArc functions under Hitachi Data Systems and developed their Hitachi NAS platform.

This platform offers integrated network attached storage or NAS for file sharing and file server consolidation. Through Hitachi’s vast consumer base around the world, BlueArc’s NAS products are distributed to large enterprises and medium-sized companies in many countries.
