Founded in 1981 by 2 MIT electronic power engineers, APC was acquired by Schneider Electric in 2007 and combined with MGE UPS Systems. Since then it has been providing various solutions based in four main application areas including home, business, access provider networks, and data centers.
Their product lines include their signature Uninterrupted Power Supply or UPS for home and business systems, servers, network switches, storage, and software services. While headquartered in Rhode Island, USA, APC provides its products in many counties around the world.
