Alcatel-Lucent SA was a French company producing telecommunications equipment, headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. The company was formed in 2006 as the result of a merger between Alcatel, a small French company, and America-based Lucent Technologies. While the company was acquired by Nokia in 2016, their products are still in use by various consumers.
Alcatel-Lucent’s products included a variety of hardware like Voice over IP or VoIP phones and switches and other exclusive software solutions for telecommunication service providers. During Alcatel-Lucent’s independent functions, the company had their operations in more than 130 countries with various accolades and awards under their belt for innovation.
