I have been using LS for the past two months and one of our helpdesk staff informed me that not all items from AD are appearing in LS.
What can be the cause and what needs to be done to fix that?

Lansweeper does not scan all AD information. It scans: - Computers that are found logged on. - Users that are found logged into a machine during a scan. Could you clarify which specific information you feel is missing?

I was under the impression that LS also scan AD as it already reads the OU structure.

Lansweeper does scan information from AD, but not everything is scanned. Some AD user fields are not included for instance. All AD information scanned by Lansweeper can be found in tblADComputers and tblADusers within the report builder. Could you specify which information you are trying to recover?
