If your software could accurately account for Microsoft licensing... you would be miracle workers!
A couple of improvements could be:
- Per CPU licensing. Datacenter servers are licensed per physical CPU. SQL licensed per CPU or CALS.
- Some products are covered by Software Assurance. So we would be interested in a count of a product regardless of version.

More info on grouping software packages in software license compliance can be found on page 69 and beyond of our online documentation.
