I have been tasked with producing a network diagram, in some standard visual format, such as Visio, etc. We have a smallish domain, 100 workstations, 25 servers, less than a dozen switches/routers. Would LanSweeper be of any help here? If no, any recommendations?

Try LanSurveyor by Solarwinds. It can create Visio diagrams directly.

Warning...it is NOT cheap.
