Lansweeper tries to detect what type of device is discovered by the snmp OID.
You can help extending this database by posting your list of devices where the type is incorrect discovered.
After you made the correction please upload report "Device unique SNMP OID"

I have one that shows as a 'Network Device' under the Device Overview, but doesn't show up in the OID report. We traced the IP to a Kronos timeclock, but LS is reporting it as a Dell device.

The Mac address indicated that it's created by Dell (since there is no other information available)

SNMP is not enabled, in this case the vendor is taken from the MAC address.
