Is there a way to see how a particular piece of software is detected as "installed"? Previously uninstalled software is still showing up as installed even after a rescan. Thanks!

First you should open the affected computer's asset page and hit Rescan asset. By default we rescan the list of installed software only once every 24 hours. The Rescan asset button initiates a full rescan of all details.

If the software still gets listed after the scan finished, it likely will also be listed under Control Panel, Programs and Features directly on the affected machine. The list in Lansweeper matches what you can see under "Programs and Features".

Yes, that is correct. Lansweeper reads the list of installed programs from the registry. You need to manually clear registry entries if the uninstaller didn't properly do it.

OK, so if a program has been uninstalled but leaves traces of itself in add/remove programs (like some do) it'll still show as installed in LANSweeper correct?
