Engaged Sweeper III
Trying to create a report to track missing Service Packs and Patches for MS SQL.

Lansweeper does not seem to track MS SQL software versions too well, but I could be wrong.

One example is tracking the following patches from MS:
https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/MS14-044

I tried using the simple hotfix report suggested earlier but some of the MS patches are a lot more complicated then that. Such as only if software installed, Server vs workstation, software version, OS version. MS sure knows how to make patching a mess.

There is an update in the report topic you mentioned which makes you able to look for several hotfixes at the same time.

Regarding the installed version of SQL server itself, Lansweeper scans the version number from WMI. It is saved in tblSQLServers.version. The service pack number is saved in tblSQLServers.spLevel. Do note that this data is updated once every 3 days by default. You can change this interval under Configuration\Item Wait Time.
