Hi,

I created a new VLAN and started moving workstations on the new VLAN. Previously Lansweeper used to scan the asset ok but now it doesn't scan the workstation on the new VLAN. I can ping it see it etc. but unable to scan the asset.
I am not sure what I have missed?

Thanks,

You will need to adjust rules on your switches and/or routers to allow Lan Sweeper traffic through the various ports used by Lan Sweeper.

There is no FW between corporate Vlans except Guest. I can ping the IP and access the shared from lansweeper server.

Do you have a FW between your VLANs?

Something like this happen to me.

At first I could scan all of my VOIP assets then one day and an upgrade later I could not....

There is a desktop utilitiy on the server that you can run to test the assets.

Can you ping it by IP AND by name from the Lansweeper machine ?
If yes, the we can rule out DNS/Netbios issues...

Is there some kind of firewall/ACL's between the VLANs ?
Something that blocks the DCOM/WMI Ports ?

Also, and that of course depends on your setup, changing the
LAN of a machine can make Windows change the Network Location
for the machine (from home/work to public, for instance) and
that triggers the local firewall... that should have blocked
the ping, but stranger things have happened...

Hi,

Is there no community support at all? To be honest, I am glad I didn't buy this product where there is no support at all.
